*****<< Hobbit's Modified WWIVedit >>*****
Are you tired of answering all of those stupid questions that
WWIVedit asks you? Well I was, so I took matters into my own
hands and fixed it!
You are probably well aware of how many questions you have to
answer just to quote in WWIVedit. It asks you if you want to
see the lines with numbers, THEN *which* lines you want to see,
(as if you could actually remember). THEN, it lets you choose
which lines to quote (the only sensible part). THEN, it asks
you *again* if you want to quote the lines you just told it
to. Even if you tell it not to display the lines with numbers,
you *still* have to verify that you *really* want to quote the
lines.
*****<< Enter Hobbit's WWIVedit >>*****
Well, I read a lot of posts on the WWIVnet subs about this and
have used Papa Bear's excellent Quote mod as well, but I just
felt that as long as the source was freely available to
WWIVedit, why bother with a WWIV source mod, when you could do
the same thing with the editor *itself*, and save the trouble
of modding the source code for each subsequent version of WWIV.
Now, when you type /q to quote it simply states how many lines
there are to quote and displays them, one screen at a time (if
you have your pauses turned on), allowing you to pick the first
and last lines to quote, and goes back into the editor. No fuss,
no muss! After all, if you didn't want to quote, you wouldn't
have typed /q in the first place :)

This is NOT my code. I just modified the freely available code
to do what I what I wanted it to do. Hope that it works for
you too :) If you have any questions, you can get ahold of me
